Moment George IV Bridge is an aparthotel of seven apartments at 12 George IV Bridge in Edinburgh’s Old Town, two minutes’ walk from Victoria Street, eight from Waverley station and twelve from the castle.

There are six studios and one two-bedroom apartment, in a restored building that was once a language college, and from the Castle View studios Edinburgh Castle fills the tall sash windows. Inside they’re warm and calm, with dark wood kitchenettes, tweed headboards and a round table by the window for breakfast. There’s a Nespresso machine with local tea and coffee, a Marshall speaker, Laura Thomas Co toiletries and blackout curtains. There’s no front desk: you let yourself in with a digital Guest Pass, the team is there day and night by phone, WhatsApp, text or email, and bags can be left in the luggage store.

Every stay is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and savour the beauty of the present.

Victoria Street is a two-minute walk, Edinburgh Waverley station eight minutes and Edinburgh Castle twelve. There’s no parking at the building; the closest car park is Q-Park Quartermile, and Moment suggests booking a space ahead.
