Perth Theatre – Supper at the North Port and a Show
A few hours.
The route
Perth Theatre first opened in 1900, and its Victorian auditorium is a lovely place to spend an evening.
Supper beforehand is at the North Port, close by in the old heart of the city.
The day
Perth
A night out in the middle of Perth, from an early supper to the final curtain.
About four hours

The North Port
Supper
Park in the council's Kinnoull Street multi-storey, a short walk from both the restaurant and the theatre; its charges stop at 6pm. The North Port is a small, independently owned restaurant in a restored 18th-century building on the street it is named after. It cooks Scottish produce on menus that change with the seasons, and there's a set menu as well as the main one. Dinner starts at 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday, and walk-ins are welcome.

Perth Theatre
Perth Theatre is about 3 minutes' walk away. A rebuild reopened it in 2017, restoring the old auditorium and adding a studio theatre and a café. It makes shows of its own as well as taking in touring ones, from plays and musicals to comedy and dance, and at Christmas it puts on its own family panto. Shows run on set dates and some weeks have none, so pick your night from the theatre's programme, which also lists the Concert Hall's events.
If it rains
All of it is under a roof except the short walk between supper and the theatre.
