Welcome

The North Port is a small, independently owned restaurant in a restored eighteenth-century stone building in the old heart of Perth, a few steps from the Perth Museum.

It's in the Michelin Guide, and it does Scottish food simply and very well. The menus change through the year with what Scotland's farmers, fishermen, growers, butchers and artisan producers have at their best, and the cooking lets those ingredients speak for themselves. Inside, dark oak panelling covers the walls and ceiling, set off by a bright, modern look. Look out for the homemade haggis with neeps and tatties, one of the dishes it's known for. It's open from Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, there's a menu for children, and walk-ins are welcome, though you can book a table through its own website. Make an evening of it with a wander along the Tay afterwards.
