Murrayshall is a 17th-century country house on 365 acres of private Perthshire countryside, ten minutes from Perth among rolling hills and old woodland.
It has 62 rooms, from cosy doubles to suites with four-posters and big arched windows, and secluded pods in the trees with their own terraces. There are two golf courses, miles of trails, and treatments at the Gate Lodge. Eòlas, the restaurant, holds two AA Rosettes for its Highland produce, and there's the Barossa bar and Cairns for something easier. Some rooms welcome dogs.
