Stewart Tower Dairy
A shop
Stewart Tower is a working dairy farm near Stanley, a mile off the A9 between Perth and Dunkeld. Its Holstein Friesian herd gives the milk for the farm's own gelato-style ice cream, made with Scottish cream in Italian batch freezers, and the flavours at the counter change through the year. The café and ice cream parlour fill the Roundhouse, a round stone horse engine house of about 1840, with the Perthshire hills beyond its windows. Breakfast comes first, then light lunches and home baking, and tables are first come, first served. Pygmy goats, sheep, pigs and ponies live on the farm too, and the farm shop has a cheese counter, local meat, fruit and veg, bakes from the kitchen and tubs of ice cream to take home.
If it rains
The Roundhouse café and the farm shop are indoors.
