The Old Farmhouse is a stone house for eight on the Logiealmond Estate in Perthshire, newly built in the traditional Scottish style on the site of a period farmhouse, with countryside views all round.

Inside, stone walls and chunky timber barn doors sit with glass banisters and slate.

The light-filled living room has three deep sofas and a modern woodburner in a slate fireplace. The big open-plan kitchen and dining room has a table for eight under an antler chandelier, with bar stools at the island, and there's a boot room for the muddy days. All four bedrooms are en suite, each with a walk-in shower. Outside, the enclosed garden has a hot tub of your own, and a basket of local produce is waiting when you arrive.

The Old Farmhouse is on the Logiealmond Estate, a working farm and country estate in Perthshire.

From Perth, take the A85 towards Crieff, turn off for Glenalmond before Methven, then follow the B8063 through Harrietfield to the estate drive. Perth, 12 miles away, has the shops, restaurants and the station, with trains to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and London, and Edinburgh Airport is just over 50 miles.
