  1. The Currochs Path

    The Currochs Path

The Currochs Path starts and finishes at the Glenturret Distillery, at the Hosh on the north-west edge of Crieff. It's a loop of about four miles (6.5 km), about two hours, by the Turret Burn, through woods on Lovers' Walk and into MacRosty Park, with its bandstand and tall Douglas firs. On the way back there are views up Glen Turret. Dippers and kingfishers may be seen on the burn. The path crosses the A85 twice; it is a busy road. There's an automated toilet in the park, 20p.

  2. The Glenturret Distillery

    The Glenturret Distillery

On the strength of a rental document from 1763, the Glenturret calls itself Scotland's oldest working distillery. The Whisky Tour takes an hour through the distillery and finishes with two drams. It costs from £20, and £10 for ages 8 to 17; the tour is not suitable for children under 8. Whoever is driving can take their drams away in a driver's dram bottle. Parts of the tour are up stairs, and the distillery offers an adapted tour. Dogs are welcome outside and on a lead in the shop, but not in the production areas.

  3. About 5 min by car
