The Glasshouse

Add to List

Introduction

Set high above the farmland at Braeside of Lindores, The Glasshouse is a contemporary rural retreat designed to take full advantage of its wide Fife views. Floor-to-ceiling glazing runs across the living space, drawing in daylight and opening the house to the surrounding countryside where sheep and cattle move through the fields below. The design takes inspiration from the traditional Scottish longhouse, reworked into a bright, modern holiday home with large glass windows looking out across the valley. Inside, sliding pocket doors keep the layout open and airy while still allowing privacy when needed. Outside, a secure garden, hot tub and barbecue area provide an easy place to relax while looking out across the surrounding fields.
