On the High Street in Kinross, behind a navy-blue shopfront in an old stone building, Unorthodox Roasters is a speciality coffee roaster with its own cafe.

It was founded in 2016 and has a second cafe in Stirling.

The beans are roasted right there, beside the counter, so you may well see and hear the roaster at work. It specialises in single origin coffees as well as its own house coffees. The food matches it: breakfasts and brunch such as Scottish salmon on toast, brioche French toast and yoghurt bowls.

The shop also sells tea, matcha, chocolate, brewing kit and Japanese ceramics. It opens every day from half past nine until five.
