Lindores Lodge
Introduction
Lindores Lodge is one of four modern farm stays on a family-run farm in Fife, designed with groups, families and dogs in mind. It’s spacious, sociable and practical, with a large living area, three bedrooms and a private garden looking out over the hills. There’s a hot tub and a few well-judged extras that make it as easy for multi-generational stays as it is for a weekend with friends. One bedroom and bathroom are step free, and there’s room to spread out both inside and out. The setting is peaceful, rural and unpretentious, with fields, sheep and big skies, and you’re a short drive from Newburgh, the River Tay and Lindores Abbey Distillery.

Location
Lindores Lodge sits on a working farm just outside Newburgh in north Fife, with wide views over the Tay Valley and countryside in every direction. It’s a quiet, rural spot with no passing traffic, but you’re only a five-minute drive from the village for shops and essentials. Perth, Dundee and St Andrews are all within 40 minutes by car. The nearest train station is at Ladybank, about 20 minutes away. The drive from Edinburgh takes around an hour. It’s a practical base for exploring east-central Scotland, with coast, hills, distilleries and historic sites all within easy reach.
Good to know
Check-in is from 4pm, with check-out at 10am. The lodge sleeps six in beds, plus two on a sofa bed. Up to two dogs are allowed, though they’re asked to stay in the boot room. The garden is fully enclosed, but the surrounding land is working farmland, so dogs must be on leads beyond the fence. Firewood is provided for the woodburner. Grocery deliveries are available from major supermarkets. The nearest village is Newburgh, a five-minute drive away, and the team at Lindores can arrange extras like private dining, farm tours or lunch at their hilltop BBQ cabin, The Hide.
What's nearby
Stay put or explore—the choice is yours. On the farm, book a long lunch in the hilltop BBQ cabin, The Hide, or a private dinner in The Barley House. You can join a 4x4 tour to meet Highland cows and see how the farm works behind the scenes. Horse riders can make use of the arena, stables and cross-country course. Nearby, there’s walking along the River Tay, visits to Lindores Abbey Distillery, and quiet lanes to cycle. The team can help arrange extras, from in-house catering to archery, or point you toward the coast, golf courses or local farm shops.
