A small, traditional village pub by the harbour at Lower Largo, known for its real ales and a CAMRA Fife Pub of the Year.
Down by the harbour at Lower Largo, a few steps from the beach and the Fife Coastal Path, the Railway Inn is a small village pub, low and whitewashed and full of quirks, with friendly locals at the bar.
It is a pub for beer lovers. The handpumps carry a changing line-up of real ales from Scottish breweries, from Loch Lomond and Orkney to Fyne Ales and Stewart Brewing, and the beer is kept with real care. The local branch of CAMRA named it Fife Pub of the Year in 2019, and it was a finalist again in the two years after. Each September an ale weekend brings twenty or more beers to the pub at once.
There is a cosy snug with a wood-burning stove and a beer garden at the back for sunny days. It makes a welcome stop on a walk along the coast, and it opens every day until midnight.
