Daisy Tasker is the restaurant of Hotel Indigo, in the great Lower Dens Mill on Constable Street, which opened in 1822 as the largest jute and linen mill in Dundee.

It is named in tribute to a young mill worker, much loved for organising social activities for her fellow weavers, and next door is its sister bar, Eighteen22, named for the year the mill first opened.

The restaurant is a long, handsome room under the mill's iron columns and exposed pipes, hung with globe lights, and the menus change with the seasons and use local Dundee suppliers, with a set menu and a children's menu. Eighteen22 serves wine, local beers and spirits and signature cocktails, with snug rooms lined with old photographs of the mills, and lunches every day. Dinner is served every evening from 5.30pm, and Sunday lunch in Daisy Tasker from 12.30pm. Booking is wise.
