Höfn
A coffee shop on Bank Street in the centre of Dundee, with speciality coffee, pastries and open sandwiches, open every day.
Höfn is a bright little coffee shop on Bank Street in the centre of Dundee, and it's one of the loveliest places in the city to stop for a coffee.
It takes its name from a fishing town in Iceland, and the word itself means harbour. Inside, lit shelves curve round a big arch behind the counter, and there's good espresso and filter coffee, matcha, cinnamon rolls and pastries, with open sandwiches and brunch plates at lunchtime. In 2026 it was named among the best coffee shops in Britain. It's open every day, from 8.30am from Monday to Saturday and from 9.30am on Sunday, until 4.30pm, and there's no need to book. Dogs are welcome too. It makes an easy stop on a walk round the city centre, with the old Howff graveyard round the corner and the McManus gallery and museum a few minutes' walk away.

Open every day; no need to book.
