Must Be Crackers!
A cheesemonger and fine food shop on the High Street in Dunfermline, opened in 2023 and named best cheesemonger at the Farm Shop & Deli Retailer Awards 2025.
Dunfermline's cheesemonger sits on the High Street, a couple of minutes' walk from the abbey, behind a green shopfront that promises great food, thoughtfully sourced.
It opened in September 2023, and within two years it had been named best cheesemonger at the Farm Shop & Deli Retailer Awards 2025, and Highly Commended as Newcomer of the Year. The cheese counter is the heart of the shop, with some of Scotland's finest cheeses on it, and the shelves around it are full of crackers, condiments and good things for the larder, so it's an easy place to put together a picnic or a cheeseboard for the evening. It opens early, at half past eight, from Tuesday to Saturday, and on one Sunday a month, when the Dunfermline City Artisan Market comes to town. Pair it with a wander round the abbey and the palace ruins, Abbot House and Pittencrieff Park, all just along the road.
