Edinburgh
West End Muse
Introduction
The apartment sits on the first floor of an old mews house, up a flight of stairs into one big open-plan living space. There's a red velvet sofa facing an original brick wall, a dining area at one end and a desk nook for anyone who can't quite switch off. The owners renovated it themselves, working with architects and interior designers, and the walls carry the owner's own artwork, which is where the "Muse" comes from. Two bedrooms, one super king and one king, both with Egyptian cotton sheets and Highland Soap Company toiletries in the bathrooms. A welcome hamper turns up on arrival with milk, butter, eggs, fresh sourdough and a bottle of prosecco. The location is the selling point. You can walk to most of the city from here, but the street itself stays quiet at night.
