The Palmerston in Edinburgh’s West End welcomes Flora Shedden, baker and author of Winter in the Highlands: Eating, Drinking and Celebrating in Scotland, for a one-day pop-up on Sunday 16 November. Flora will bring a taste of her beloved Aran Bakery to the city, serving seasonal bakes from her new book, including Parsnip Loaf Cake, Earl Grey and Fig Scones, Hazelnut Crumble Mince Pies, Nutmeg Stars and Lemon Amaretti. Guests can also pick up beautifully wrapped Christmas gifts such as ‘Quincemeat’, Almond Nougat and Clotted Cream Caramels. Bakes will be available from 9 am until sell-out, takeaway only from 11 am, alongside The Palmerston’s own daily pastries.
