Red chairs sit out on the pavement in good weather.

The front room has the air of an old soda parlour, with a checkerboard floor, teal bentwood chairs, a long banquette against black brick and vintage aperitif posters on the walls. Further in, the bar is tiled in white under a curved ceiling, with teal velvet stools and shelves of records above the counter, and a small sign saying what is on the turntable. Downstairs there is a pool table under copper lamps and a stained-glass cupboard in a dim alcove. Take a stool at the bar, and ask what is playing.
