Ottolenghi
Ottolenghi's first restaurant in Scotland, on George Street, opened in October 2026, with sharing plates built on Scottish produce, from breakfast to dinner.
Ottolenghi has long been loved for its London restaurants and its cookbooks, and in October 2026 it opened its first restaurant in Scotland, on George Street.
The cooking is just what you'd hope for, bold and colourful, full of vegetables and made for sharing, with Scottish produce at the centre of it. Think grilled langoustines from the east coast, crowdie cheese, and slow-cooked dishes brought to the table in handmade clay pots, with cocktails and wines chosen to go with them. It's an all-day place, so you can come for breakfast from 8am, with well-fired morning rolls, shakshuka and a full Scottish with haggis and Urfa baked beans, or settle in for a long lunch or dinner of plates down the middle of the table. The dining room is bright and modern, with walls painted in big swirls of orange, red and black. It's open every day, and you can book a table through its own website.
