Introduction
A large bronze statue of a polish soldier with his bear Wojtek, this memorial statue honours the Polish soldiers who served in WWII. Adopted from Iran, the bear was transferred with his company to Southeastern Scotland after the war ended and moved into the Edinburgh Zoo in 1947. The statue was unveiled in 2015 on Princes Street.
