Welcome

You can't miss Little Capo.

It's the salmon-pink corner front on Howe Street, in the New Town, on the way down the hill to Stockbridge. Inside is a small, Italian-ish restaurant built round a long aperitivo bar and dining counter, and it's in the Michelin Guide. Start with a spritz or a Negroni and some olives, then work through the handwritten menu of small plates, homemade pasta and a few bigger dishes to share. A spring menu ran from burrata with fennel and zucchine fritte to bucatini with mussels and clams, gnocchetti with sausage and 'nduja, and a flat iron steak with salsa verde. The wine list leans towards organic, biodynamic and low-intervention bottles. It's open every day from noon until late. Seats at the counter and tables open for booking 30 days ahead at 9am, for groups of up to eight, and walk-ins are always welcome, though there's only a little room kept for them.
