On North West Circus Place, the curving street that runs down from the New Town into Stockbridge, a dark shopfront with MEANDER SCOTLAND lettered above the window is the Edinburgh home of an outdoor clothing brand made here in the city.

Meander designs clothes for everyday adventures, the kind that go from a walk on the hills to a coffee in town, and it makes them with care for the planet. The shop is bright and simple, with jackets and waterproofs on the rails, soft knitwear folded on the tables, bags and boots, and a wall of woolly hats in every colour. It is also the brand's headquarters.

Meander opens every day, a few minutes' walk from St Stephen Street and the Water of Leith.
