eòrna
A twelve-seat counter restaurant on Hamilton Place in Stockbridge, run by a chef and a sommelier, serving one seasonal tasting menu each evening.
Dinner at eòrna feels a little like being invited to a dinner party, only the hosts are a chef and a sommelier at the top of their trade.
It's a counter restaurant on Hamilton Place in Stockbridge for no more than twelve guests a night, and just two people run it: Brian in the kitchen and Glen looking after the wine and the room. Everyone sits round the curved counter and eats the same seasonal tasting menu, six courses after the canapés, built on the best of Scotland's larder, from East Neuk lobster to Highland lamb, with a matched wine flight if you'd like one. The name is Gaelic for barley, and it's said like 'yorna'. It's in the Michelin Guide. Doors open at 6.50pm, everyone starts together just after seven, and the evening runs until about eleven. There's one menu for the whole room and the kitchen can't change it for dietary needs, so do check before you book.

Dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, everyone together from 7pm.
Book online for up to four guests; one menu is served to the whole room.
