Opening on Saturday 20 September 2025, Patterns of Life at Morningside Gallery showcases 27 new paintings by Edinburgh-based artist Jenny Martin RSW. A painter and printmaker, Martin draws inspiration from her Portobello studio, her collection of ceramics, and discoveries made while travelling. Her work celebrates the human impulse to create pattern, weaving together organic and man-made forms across cultures and centuries. Recent influences include the intricate interiors of the Alhambra and the Real Alcázar in Andalucía, reflected in richly layered compositions. Visitors can also meet the artist on Sunday 5 October, when she will share insights into her sketchbooks and process.
