Crowds gather along Stonehaven’s High Street as the sound of pipes and drums fills the winter air. At midnight, fireball swingers ignite their creations and begin the torchlit procession. The flaming spheres are paraded through the town before being cast into the harbour, followed by a fireworks display to mark the arrival of the New Year. This volunteer-run tradition is free to attend, with donations welcomed to support the event. Access to the High Street can be restricted once capacity is reached.
