Portlethen Golf Course

A parkland course at Portlethen, south of Aberdeen, crossed by the tree-lined Findon Burn. It has hosted the Scottish Amateur and the Scottish PGA Northern Open.

Welcome

Just south of Aberdeen, on the edge of the town of Portlethen, the golf course spreads out across gently rolling parkland.

It has matured into one of the best parkland courses in the North East, and it has earned its place on the national stage: it co-hosted the Scottish Amateur Men's Championship in 2021 and hosts the Scottish PGA Northern Open.

The course's great natural feature is the Findon Burn, which winds through it in a line of mature broadleaf trees and crosses five of the holes, catching anyone who strays.

The clubhouse looks out over the putting green, with food and drink for players and visitors, and the club makes golfers from elsewhere welcome. Stonehaven and Dunnottar Castle are a short drive south.
