Blether
A café on North Deeside Road in Cults, run by Dawn and Alan Forrest since 2019, known for its scones and strawberry tarts and open every day.
There's nothing quite like a good scone and a chat, and Blether, named for the Scots word for exactly that, has been serving both on North Deeside Road in Cults since 2019.
Dawn and Alan Forrest run it, and in 2025 it was named the second-best café in Britain in a study of more than 4,000 cafés across the country's cities. The scones are the thing to order, along with the strawberry tarts piled high with cream. Come hungry and there are full Scottish breakfasts, paninis, club sandwiches and homemade soup, with good coffee to go with them. On a sunny day there are a few tables out on the pavement, dogs are welcome, and there's free parking on the street outside. It's only a short walk from the Deeside Way, so it makes a lovely stop on a walk or a bike ride out of the city.

Open every day from 9am to 4.30pm, with a few tables outside on a fine day.
