A bright, friendly corner cafe on St Swithin Street in Aberdeen, with homemade soup, toasties, cakes and scones, open Friday to Sunday.

Welcome

On a corner of St Swithin Street in Aberdeen's west end, Coppa is a bright, roomy cafe of wooden tables, white walls hung with photographs and a counter piled with baking.

Music plays quietly, families gather round the big tables, and dogs doze underneath with a bowl of water.

The food is simple, homemade and good value: soup of the day, toasted sandwiches, scones and cakes baked fresh, with vegan and vegetarian choices and hot chocolate heaped with marshmallows for the children. The coffee is locally roasted.

There is plenty of room for prams and highchairs. Coppa opens only from Friday to Sunday, from eleven until four, so plan a visit around it.
