Welcome

Amuse is the restaurant of Kevin Dalgleish, one of Aberdeen's best-known chefs, in the basement of a granite townhouse on Queen's Terrace, a few minutes from the city centre.

It's in the Michelin Guide and holds two AA Rosettes, and the cooking is pure, seasonal and led by its ingredients: Scottish produce with a French soul. Kevin grew up in Hawick, trained at the Savoy in London and cooked in some of Scotland's top hotels before coming to Aberdeen in 2012, and he took over Amuse at the start of 2022. Come for the Eight of the Best tasting menu in the evening, the seasonal market menu at lunch, or the à la carte, and start with a cocktail in Le Petit Bar. There's a snug with a long whisky list for a dram after dinner, and a wood-burning stove to sit by. Dinner runs from Tuesday to Saturday and lunch from Thursday, and it's best to book ahead.
