Welcome

There's nothing quite like bread from a bakery that cares about every loaf, and Bandit Bakery on Rose Street is one of the loveliest places in Aberdeen to buy it.

Everything here is plant-based, from the sourdough loaves lined up along the shelves to the fluffy focaccia, crusty baguettes, croissants, cinnamon buns, cookies and brownies. Pete and Sarah run it from a granite shopfront just off the west end of Union Street, with a small coffee shop beside the bakery, so you can sit down with a coffee and something sweet before you carry a loaf home. The Good Food Guide lists it as a Local Gem, and in 2026 it named Bandit among its 50 best bakeries in Britain. It opens every day of the week from nine in the morning until four, which makes it an easy stop on a walk round the west end. Dogs are welcome inside, and there's paid parking on the surrounding streets.
