The Palm Court Hotel stands on Seafield Road in the leafy west end of Aberdeen, and its restaurant and bar goes by the homely name of the Bothy.

The dining room is a long conservatory with green panelling, bright patterned banquettes and a lantern roof, opening onto a terrace for the summer.

The cooking is Scottish and seasonal, built on local produce: hearty pies, fish, lamb and daily specials, with good breakfasts in the morning. The bar has a good list of Scotch whiskies, Scottish gins and local spirits, as well as cocktails, wines and beer. On Sunday the roasts are carved by hand and served with honey-roast vegetables, potatoes roasted in duck fat and skirlie, and at the weekend there is a sociable brunch.

The Bothy is open every day, from breakfast until ten at night.
