Welcome

There's something lovely about a long lunch in a grand old house, and Coterie, the restaurant of the Ferryhill House Hotel, is a good place for one.

The hotel was a family home of 1900, set in its own gardens on Bon-Accord Street in Ferryhill. Its brasserie has been refurbished and cooks classic brasserie dishes and European favourites with fresh produce, led by head chef Ross Boyd, who has cooked at Amuse and the Cults Hotel. The autumn menu brings Cullen skink with smoked haddock and baby leeks, Shetland scallops with cauliflower and curry oil, monkfish with a bordelaise sauce and duck breast with juniper, with sirloin steak and a wagyu burger from the grill. On a fine day there's a garden terrace, with a play park for children, and there's free parking. Coterie is open Wednesday to Sunday, for dinner midweek and from noon at the weekend, and the hotel's bar serves food every day.
