Perthshire
Larch House
Introduction
Larch House was finished in 2025, clad in Scottish larch, with picture windows and roof lights sized for the hill views rather than the heating bill. It sits along a private road above the Shee Water, 20 minutes from Glenshee, Scotland's largest ski area, and the best part of 15 miles from Blairgowrie. Downstairs is mostly one big open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting space with a wood burner, plus a cinema room with bean bag seating that the kids will claim within the hour. All three bedrooms take 6' super-king beds that split into twins, so three couples works as neatly as a family, and the upstairs landing doubles as a second sitting room. There's a sauna beside the family shower room and a heated boot room with lockable bike storage. Then the garden: hot tub, firepit, a viewing platform, and steps leading down to the Shee Water below.

Facilities & Services
Fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, dishwasher and Nespresso machine (bring your own pods). Washing machine, tumble dryer, WiFi, Smart TVs, Bluetooth speaker and board games. Sauna, wood-fired hot tub, firepit, BBQ and an outdoor dining terrace. Underfloor heating, wood burner, heated boot room and parking for three cars.
Location
The house sits up Glen Shee in eastern Perthshire, reached along a private road with open countryside on every side. Blairgowrie, the largest town in Perthshire, is under 15 miles away. Glenshee Ski Centre is 20 minutes up the road, Pitlochry just over 20 miles.
Good to know
Sleeps six in three bedrooms, each with a super-king zip-and-link bed that converts to twins on request. Three bathrooms plus the sauna shower room; one bedroom is on the ground floor. No pets. Children are welcome, though the burn is close, so keep an eye on little ones. Septic tank, so eco-friendly products only.
What's nearby
Skiing and snowboarding at Glenshee in season, with runs for every ability. The Cateran Trail passes through the glen: 64 miles of old drove roads named after the cattle-raiding caterans who once worked these hills, now walked in stages between Blairgowrie, Kirkmichael and Alyth. There's salmon, trout and grayling fishing on the Ericht and Isla in season, kayaking and paddleboarding at Blairgowrie, and a round at Blairgowrie Golf Club's Rosemount course, redesigned by James Braid in 1934. The Dalmore Inn handles the special-occasion dinners round here. Pitlochry has the fish ladder, the Festival Theatre and a couple of distilleries.
