A new gallery of contemporary Scottish art and craft on Bonnethill Road in Pitlochry, with paintings, ceramics, sculpture, jewellery and textiles.

On Bonnethill Road in Pitlochry, a short step up from the main street, a wide white shopfront is lettered The Perthshire Gallery, its windows filled with paintings of hills and lochs, ceramics and hanging lights.

It is one of the newest galleries in Highland Perthshire, run by Jennifer Wheatley with an artist in residence working on the premises.

Inside, a large front room with high ceilings and big windows opens onto a smaller, more intimate gallery and an artist's studio. The work is contemporary and mostly Scottish: paintings and prints, ceramics and sculpture, jewellery and textiles, and handmade furniture, with many of the makers from the area around, some just starting out and some long established.

The gallery opens every day: from ten until five Monday to Saturday, and from eleven until four on Sunday.
