Little Pheasant is the smaller of the two Pheasant cottages, in tranquil countryside a short drive from Dunkeld in Highland Perthshire.

It sleeps four, in a main bedroom and a room with custom-built bunk beds for children. Inside it’s bright and calm, with deep green walls, a sitting room with a woodburner and a dining table by the windows. Outside there’s a private seating area looking onto the fields.

The owners describe it as ideal for couples, or for a family with two children. The River Tay, the woodland trails at The Hermitage, Blair Castle and the ospreys at Loch of the Lowes are all within reach, and well behaved dogs are welcome.

Little Pheasant is in peaceful countryside a short drive from Dunkeld, in Highland Perthshire, and is easy to reach from the A9.

Dunkeld has a small Co-op, cafés, independent food shops and bakeries, and Dunkeld and Birnam station has regular trains to the main Scottish cities.

The owners send detailed directions before you arrive. By train, Dunkeld and Birnam station has regular services from the main Scottish cities.
