Redwood Wines
A wine shop and kitchen in the old post office on Bridge Street in Dunkeld, with small plates made in-house and the Good Food Guide's Scotland award for 2025.
Redwood Wines is a wine shop, a bar and one of the loveliest little kitchens in Scotland, all in Dunkeld's old post office on Bridge Street.
Roseanna Preston-Jones, who grew up in Dunkeld, and Morgwn Preston-Jones, the chef, opened it in 2021, and the Good Food Guide named it Scotland's best local restaurant in 2025. Walls of bottles surround a handful of tables, and the bar tops are slabs of old Scottish oak from the Murthly estate down the road. Morgwn makes everything by hand each day, from the charcuterie to a weekly changing menu of small plates, sandwiches and sharing boards, and plenty of the wine is poured by the glass. Lunch runs from noon until three, and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings dinner brings extra dishes and specials. Dogs are made very welcome, with water and treats, and it's a good idea to book a table by phone.

Booking is recommended, by phone, though not essential.
