Hairy Coo & Co, Dunkeld

A mother and daughter’s gift shop on Atholl Street in Dunkeld, home of their Highland cow designs.

Welcome

You’ll know the shop by Jessie, the life-size, many-coloured Highland cow who stands in the window on Atholl Street.

Go in and say hello.

Hairy Coo began in 2013, when Sheila started making accessories with a Highland cow on them, and won a best product award at the Scottish trade show in her first year. Her daughter Emma joined her in 2018. The two of them live in Highland Perthshire, and their things are designed and made in their own workshop here in Dunkeld.

The shop is where it all comes together. There’s the Hairy Coo range itself, a Woolly Ewe range, Baby Coo for the very small, and gifts that can be personalised, along with homeware and textiles from other makers they like. They’ll wrap a present for you too. It’s a cheerful place to choose something to take home, and it’s open every day of the week.
