The Gordon’s Tearoom Braemar
A dog-friendly tea room in the middle of Braemar, run with the Fife Arms, for morning rolls, lunch and homemade bakes, open Wednesday to Sunday.
On Mar Road in the middle of Braemar, a few steps from the Fife Arms and run in association with it, Gordon's Tea Room is a laid-back, dog-friendly café that locals and visitors have long loved.
It is the place for a classic Scottish morning roll before heading out to the hills, or a pot of tea and a scone in the afternoon to rest weary legs. The glass counter is filled with bakes made on the premises, carrot cake, brownies and pecan tart among them, alongside savoury pastries and a soup that changes every day.
The coffee is taken seriously, and the tea comes from Eteaket in Edinburgh. There is no need to book; just walk in. It opens from Wednesday to Sunday, from ten until four, and Braemar Castle and the Clunie Water are a short walk away.

Open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm.
No booking; walk in. Dogs are welcome.
