Best explored on a crisp autumn day when the leaves are changing colour, the Gorge of Killiecrankie is surrounded by lush woodland. Part of beautiful Pitlochry, this tranquil spot was once a notoriously dangerous crossing, and where one of the bloodiest battles of the Jacobite Uprising took place.
