On Saturday the 3rd of October 2025, Black Isle Brewery hosts a seed-saving workshop led by Finlay Keiller of Seeds of Scotland. The session covers harvesting, storing and growing open‑pollinated seeds, with a focus on varieties suited to Scotland’s climate. Finlay, originally from Shetland, trained with the Gaia Foundation and now operates an organic seed company in Easter Ross. Participants will gain practical skills in collecting seeds, managing viability and maintaining genetic diversity in home gardens. The workshop includes demonstrations and takes place in the brewery’s lecture room, with light refreshments provided. Booking in advance is required; spaces are limited.
