It began with doughnuts.
Coyote started out selling coffee and doughnuts before turning to burgers.

A family-run burger bar on the first floor above the River Ness in Inverness, with smash burgers, loaded fries, milkshakes, cocktails and river views.
Up a flight of stairs on Bank Street, in a big first-floor room with floor-to-ceiling windows over the River Ness, Coyote serves burgers to a busy crowd.

It is a family business that started out with coffee and doughnuts, grew into burgers on Academy Street, and in 2023 moved here, to a prime spot in the city centre.
The burgers are smashed and stacked high on sesame buns, with bacon, melted cheese and crispy onions, and come with bowls of loaded fries piled with more bacon and onions. There is fried chicken too, thick milkshakes crowned with whipped cream, cocktails and local beer from the bar.
The room is all exposed brick, steel and neon, with more than a hundred seats and the river running past below. It opens every day from noon, and from eleven on Fridays and Saturdays.
