Introduction
Set on the northern edge of the grounds of Aldourie Castle near Dores, Garden Cottage sits within the estate’s kitchen garden, surrounded by greenery, orchards and meadow paths. Part of WildLand, the cottage blends its original character with a restrained, Scandinavian-influenced interior, creating a calm and comfortable space for up to six guests.
Inside, three double bedrooms are arranged across two floors, including a ground-floor room with en-suite. A cosy sitting room with a wood-burning stove offers space to unwind, while the kitchen and dining area is light-filled and designed for relaxed meals overlooking the gardens. Provisions and suppers prepared by the Aldourie Castle chefs can be arranged on request.
Beyond the cottage, the grounds open out with access to walled gardens, Victorian glasshouses, lochside walks and quiet corners for picnics, offering a slower way to experience the landscape around Loch Ness.
Facilities & Services
Garden Cottage is well equipped for a self-catering stay, with a full kitchen including dishwasher and coffee machine, and a laundry area with washer/dryer, iron and detergent. Basic provisions are provided on arrival, along with logs for the stove, bed linen, towels, toiletries, BBQ facilities and optional e-bike hire.

Garden Cottage is located on Aldourie Estate on the south side of Loch Ness, a short drive from Inverness. Set within landscaped grounds and overlooking gardens and woodland, it offers a quiet setting with easy access to the Highlands.
