Inverness Leisure – Waves, a Lazy River and a Toddler Pool
A few hours.
The route
Inverness Leisure sits on the Bught, beside the River Ness, and its leisure pool is a good place to take children on a wet day.
There's a wave pool, a lazy river with jets and geysers, and a warm toddler pool, all under one big timber roof. It's an easy morning with a baby or a buggy, and a happy one for older children too.

Inverness Leisure
Inverness Leisure is on Bught Lane, on the west side of the River Ness, with its own car park of 130 spaces and a drop-off point by the door. The leisure pool has a wave pool, a lazy river with jets and geysers, and a toddler pool; the flumes are shut while repair works are carried out. At weekends, all year, it opens from 9am to 5pm, and the first session, 9am to 10.55am, is a splash session in the wave and toddler pools only, when one adult may bring two under-fives. On weekdays in term time the features run from 4pm to 8pm, with daytime sessions in the bubble, wave and toddler pools on Tuesdays from 10am to 1pm, Thursdays from 10am to 2pm and Fridays from 1pm to 4pm. In the school holidays they run from 10am to 8pm on weekdays. Which features are running depends on staff on the day: ring the centre's recorded line on 01463 667500, from 7am, to check. A Leisure Waters swim is £10.90 for an adult, £6.60 concession, £7.30 for a parent with an under-three and £25 for a family, at the time of writing. There are ramps to every level, a Changing Places toilet, and a café on the lower level of the pool side. Over Christmas and New Year, check before going.
