Welcome

Where Church Street bends, a stone building turns the corner in a graceful curve, with tall arched windows all the way round.

On the ground floor, at number 24, is Coffee Affair, an independent coffee shop that opened in 2008.

Coffee is the point here. Every cup is made by hand by trained baristas on a traditional Italian espresso machine, using Italian-roasted beans, and the menu runs to some inventive drinks.

There is plenty to eat too: pastries and cakes, home-made soups, open sandwiches, baguettes and salads, for a quick breakfast or a light lunch. It is relaxed and friendly, and a good place to sit at the window and watch the town go by. It opens every day, from 8.15am, and 9am on Sundays.
