Aldourie
Six cottages on the Aldourie Castle estate at the north end of Loch Ness, for two to eight, and dogs are welcome in every one.
An old manse, a gatehouse, the factor's house and three cottages round a castle on the shore of Loch Ness.
Aldourie Castle stands on the shore of Loch Ness by the village of Dores, and around it WildLand has restored the estate's old houses as places to stay. Tigh na Coille, the old manse, looks down over the loch from the hillside. The Gatehouse is a little castle of its own among the pines, Factor's Cottage sits in the middle of the grounds, and Garden Cottage shelters in the old kitchen garden with its orchard, glasshouses and meadow. Ivy Cottage and South Bothy are the smallest, one built like a croft and one at the end of the steadings. Each is done in WildLand's calm Scandinavian way. The estate's chefs will bring a cottage supper to your door, and dogs are welcome in all six.
We wish to restore our parts of the Highlands to their former magnificent natural state.
