From Friday the 15th to Sunday the 17th of August 2025, Visual Arts Scotland hosts its debut Artist & Maker Market at Dalkeith Palace and Country Park, just a short journey from Edinburgh. Around 110 stalls fill both the lush grounds and grand interiors of the palace, offering visitors a chance to browse and buy work across disciplines—from ceramics and jewellery to textiles, print, painting and sculpture. The event also features curated micro-exhibitions, a graduate showcase, and an affordable “30×30 cm” art display. Entry is free and open from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm daily, inviting direct connection between makers and their public.
