Introduction
Though it marks a particularly gory part of Edinburgh's history, this memorial in Holyrood Park was built for Ailie Muschat, who was murdered by an abusive husband centuries before. This symbolic creation can be found close to Parliament, reminding those who work there of their duty to end such violence.
