The Lea Rig
A café and bakery on Easter Road, opened in 2026, with pies, cakes and cinnamon rolls baked in the house, and breakfast and lunch from Wednesday to Sunday.
There's a lot to love about a neighbourhood café that does its own baking, and The Lea Rig is a lovely new one on Easter Road.
It opened in 2026 on a corner of the street, with a counter of cakes, pies and cookies baked in the house, good coffee, and a short menu for breakfast and lunch. Pies are the thing here, and a slice of fruit pie with a mug of coffee is a fine reason to sit down for a while. The cinnamon rolls have their fans too. At lunchtime there are toasted sandwiches, a Reuben among them, and there's an ice cream sandwich for anyone with room left. Vegetarians are well looked after, children are welcome, and so are dogs. It's open from Wednesday to Sunday, from breakfast until three in the afternoon, and you can take anything away with you if you'd rather walk on.

Open Wednesday to Sunday, from breakfast until 3pm.
Sit in or take away; children and dogs are welcome.
