Hendersons

Hendersons on Hanover Street was an Edinburgh institution, the city’s original vegetarian restaurant dating back to 1962 and a New Town fixture until it closed in 2020. Now Barrie, the grandson of founder Janet Henderson, is carrying on the family tradition with a vegetarian and vegan restaurant updated for the 21st century in Tollcross. The interiors are light and contemporary, the lentil lasagne reimagined.
