Welcome

There's something about a small corner bar with a good list of things to drink, and Lauri, at 105 Lauriston Place, is a cosy one.

It used to be called Brauhaus, and you'll still see that name lettered above the door. These days it calls itself a tenement bar and a wine and ale house, and it pours real ales, craft and imported beers, natural wines and single malt Scotch whisky. Every evening from 5pm to 9.30pm there's pizza from Mr Wood Fire. It's on the corner of Glen Street, a few minutes' walk from Tollcross, and it opens every day at 5pm, staying open until 11.30pm, or 12.30am on Fridays and Saturdays. You can book a table online, and for a group of more than eight it's best to get in touch with the bar first. Dogs are welcome, and there's a step at the door.
