Welcome

Greek Artisan Pastries is a Greek bakery and cafe on Bread Street, just off Lothian Road, and the place to come for a taste of Greece with your morning coffee.

It's run by Ariston Foods, a Scottish importer of Greek food whose story began with homesick students in the library at Heriot-Watt University, and its shops sell the pastries they missed from home: savoury spanakopita, cheesy tiropita and sweet bougatsa, all in crisp, flaky filo. Have yours warm with a classic Greek coffee, a freddo espresso or a frothy frappé, and take a box of something sweet away with you. There are tables inside, and yellow cafe chairs out on the pavement under the striped awning. The shop is open every day, from 8am to 5pm, and from 9am to 4pm on Sundays. Its first shop, opened in 2018, is on Portobello High Street, and this city centre one followed in 2019.
